Kids' state flag projects

Now contrary to popular belief, just because they have an art teacher mommy, that doesn't mean that they didn't do any of the work. They did 99% of it. Mommy showed them some mad skills with the scanner, printer and the lightbox to trace. Plus she keeps a nice variety of coloring utensils in the basement as well. Cheating? I call it using the resources handy.

By the way, Marissa's state was Nebraska (they invented Kool-Aid there) and A.J.'s state is Vermont.

So here's Marissa at this weekend's tournament in Rockaway. Unfortunately, the girls lost all three games they played between last night and today. Marissa got quite a few base hits and fielded decently. They have another game tomorrow morning. Wish them well.

Meet "Bob"

Cute, but a little creepy...

The Cabin- this was our home from Thursday until Sunday! A really nice time. Marissa caught a ton of fish (A.J. caught none...whah!!). Says it's "Just not his thing." He was much better at cutting and gathering firewood with Mike and Daddy.

So baseball and softball season are in full swing (no pun intended). Figured I should post some of the photos onto the blog. Sorry these are just of AJ's team. I was asked to post photos for the teams Web site. A fellow parent lent me her really nice camera to take some shots. Marissa's photos will soon follow... AJ's game face.
